Still no sunspots through all of February, except for the first day
of the month. I keep watching for possible sunspot activity over the
solar horizon on https://stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov/ . Recently I noticed
a promising looking white area, and in the past few days at
Spaceweather.com they pointed out two new regions just over the
horizon.
As of Thursday night, both areas still appear to be transitioning
over the horizon at -90 degrees shown on the STEREO monitor at the
above URL. But so far nothing in the daily 45 day forecast of solar

MALDIVES, 8Q. Ivan, UR9IDX is QRV as 8Q7VR from Naifaru Island,
IOTA AS-013. Activity has been mainly on 80 and 40 meters using CW
with some SSB. His length of stay is unknown. QSL via EA5EL.
RWANDA, 9X. Harald, DF2WO will be QRV as 9X2AW from March 4 to 22.
Activity will be on the HF bands, possibly including 160 meters and
Satellite QO-100 upon requests, using mainly FT8 with some CW and
SSB

Well I’ve be in Sydney, Australia for the past 3 weeks. Warm yes, but the rain and wind at times was horrendous. We visited Kevin, VK4UH, and Judy in Brisbane and a good time was had. Kev has an amazing amount of space for antennas, radio and a workshop.<
