"must also take into account local weather and sea conditions". The
operators (MM0NDX, EI9FBB, EI5GM, EL2DT and EL2BG) plan to be QRV
for 72 hours max, and to run up to three stations (SSB and CW).
They will be located on Baiyah Island (AF-111, new one for IOTA),

best times to work VK9AR are 21.00-00.00 UTC and 07.00-01.00 UTC.
At these times VK9AR will be calling for Europe only or North
America only and operating with three stations to maximise QSOs.

Access to the main functions of www.425dxn.org is provided by the 425DXN App
for Android. It is available on Google Play - free of charge, no ads. Enjoy!
7Q7EI ---> The website for the 7Q7EI DXpedition to Malawi (21 March-3 April
2018) [425DXN 1380] is now up and running at http://www.7q7ei.com/.
NEW IRC ---> The Universal Postal Union's newest model of the International
Reply Coupon (IRC) is the 'Istanbul model', which features a pair of hands
and a dove against an Arctic backdrop. It is valid for exchange until the
end of 2021. The current 'Doha model' remains valid until 31 December 2017.
Old out of date IRCs can be donated to M0OXO or M0URX, who will use expired
coupons to fund their outgoing Bureau service ("just 300 old out of date
International Reply Coupons is enough to post 20,000 Bureau cards to world
IARU Bureaux", Tim says).
QSL V51Q & V55A ---> After waiting over a year for cards and logs, Dan N4GNR
has removed V55A and V51Q from the list of stations he is the QSL manager
for, as he is "unable to answer any request for these two DX stations".
S21ZAS ---> After many trials and tribulations, activity from St. Martin's
Island (AS-127) started on 23 October around 08.30 UTC as S21ZAS. The team
expects to remain QRV until around 18 UTC on 27 October. QSL via SM6CVX.
ST BRANDON (3B7) 2018 --- > Logistics planning for the April 2018 DXpedition
to the Saint Brandon Islands (AF-015) [425DXN 1361] is being finalized.
Eight experienced operators will be active for two weeks with seven stations
on 160-6 metres CW, SSB and RTTY. "We already made important expenses and
time has come to request assistance from the DX community", they said in
their latest Press Release issued on 20 October. "As usual, we are extremely
careful with each expenditure, but such project remains expensive. The team
will provide more than 50% of the budget, but we need your assistance to
balance it". See http://www.saintbrandondx.com for more information.
