for Android. It is available on Google Play - free of charge, no ads. Enjoy!
CY9C ---> The St. Paul Island Team welcomes Scott (NE9U, who replaces K4ZLE)
and Adrian (KO8SCA) as an additional member. CY9C will be QRV from 26 August
to 5 September.
The airlift of "infrastructure gear over to the Northeast Island of St. Paul
will take place on 24 August. Six airlifts are currently planned and they
will be taking the tents, tables, chairs, generators, fuel, electrical
cables, coaxial cables and all other necessary gear to build the CY9C camp.
As with most DXpeditions, weather will play a factor in the schedule. Prepa-
rations for the airlift will commence on 5 August, with the arrival of
the first load of gear in Dingwall. The estimated cost of just the heli-
copter airlifts is CAD 48,300. Any support to help with this expense will be
greatly appreciated: https://t-rexsoftware.com/cy9c/donate.htm". Bookmark
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1455659374986029/ for updates.
MM0UKI ---> The 1-4 August DXpedition to the Flannan Islands (EU-118) has
been cancelled. "While the weather isn't so bad today", DX World reported on
1 August, "the forecast isn't good and the skipper does not have a long
enough WX window to collect the group if they landed, not to mention it's
dangerous. They have decided to call off the trip and return home".
N5J ---> "After a successful test operation in preparation of Jarvis", K8R
went QRT on 28 July at around 23.30 UTC. "SuperFox performed much better
than we've ever seen F/H do, and we experimented with many QRP stations".
The team anticipates departing for Jarvis Island on 2 August. According to
their website's home page (https://jarvisisland2024.com), N5J is now expect-
ed to be QRV on 7-19 August.
RADIO OLYMPICS ---> Several TM-prefixed special event stations are active
from France (plus TK2AJO and TK2BJO from Corsica) during the Paris 2024
Olympic Games. Contacts made with these stations from 26 July (00.00 UTC) to
11 August (23:59 UTC) count towards the Radio Olympics Award organized by
the ARV84 Radio Club. Complete information, including the list of qualifying
stations, can be found on https://www.oly24.fr/award_en.html.
WRTC 2026: SPONSORED TEAMS ---> The Organising Committee has announced de-
tails of the process for Sponsored Teams for WRTC 2026. The Sponsored teams
