4A1, MEXICO (Special Event). The members of the The DXXE Group, through-
out the 2020 year, will celebrate its 15th anniversary with the activation
of the special callsign 4A15DXXE, from January 20th, until December 31st,
2020. Activity will be on all bands and modes especially in contests,
special events, via satellite and EME from different Grid Locators in
Mexico. QSL via LoTW only. ADDED NOTES: Over the coming months, look for
other special events stations to celebrate this anniversary from Cuba,
Spain, the Canary Islands, France and South America:
 - Raъl/CO8ZZ and the DX Group of Cuba will operate as T40DXXE between
 January 20-31st. See "T40, CUBA (Special Event)" below.
 - From Spain, Salva/EA5BB will be on the air between April 1-15th, as
 AO15DXXE and on the same days, from the Canary Islands (AF-004),
 Juan/EA8RM will sign AO15DXXE/8.
 - From France, Thierry/F4GVO will operate as TM15DXXE, between April
 1-15th, and will be on SSB, FT4, FT8, from 80-6 meters.

4L, GEORGIA. Mamuka Kordzakhia, 4L2M, President of the National Associ-
ation Radio Amateurs of Georgia (NARG), will be active during the CQWW
160m CW Contest (January 24-26th) as a Single-Op/High-Power entry. He
plans to use a 1 KW, a 37 meters high Vertical with radials and a 300
ft. 2 beverage antenna. QSL via EA7FTR.

4W, TIMOR-LESTE. Members of the Lagunaria DX Group are planning a DX-
pedition to Timor-Leste sometime in October-November. This will be a large
opertaion with 18 operators, and possibly 10 stations and entries in both
CQWW DX Contests. Look for details to be forthcoming and watch the follow-

4X, ISRAEL. Operators Arthur/4X4DZ, Zvi/4X6FR, Vladimir/4Z5IW, Alex/4Z5ML,
Ros/4Z5LA, Alexander/4Z4AK, Sergiy/UR5MID and Oleg/US7UX will be active
as 4X2M from Israel during the CQ 160m CW Contest (January 24-26th) as
a Multi-Op entry. QSL via 4X4DZ.

9G, GHANA. Matteo, IZ4YGS, will once again be active as 9G5GS from Sanzule,
West Takoradi (Western Region), Ghana, between February 1-26th. Activity
will be limited to his spare time (usually on "almost every evening",
between 2100-0000z) on 160-20 meters using mostly FT8 (F/H) and SSB,
with a Yaesu FT-891 and 100 watts into a vertical antenna. On FT8 (Fox-
Hound Mode) the suggested frequencies are: 3567, 7056, 10131 and 14090
kHz. On FT8 (Standard Mode) on the standard frequencies; PLEASE SEND
REPORT FIRST, not the Loc. He will also be active through the QO-100
geostationary satellite, USB mode. He will update daily to ClubLog. QSL
via LoTW, IZ4YGS direct or eQSL.

9Q, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO. Paolo, IK7UXW, is now active as 9Q1C
from Gombe, Kinshasa. His length of stay is unknown at this time. Activity
has been on 20 meters CW. QSL via his home callsign.

HC, ECUADOR. Rick, NE8Z/HC1MD, will be minimally active as HC1MD from
Quito between January 18-24th. However, he will be very active as HC1MD/2
from the Farallon Dillon Lighthouse (ARLHS ECU-017)[arlhs.com], Capay on
Hill, between January 25th and February 7th. Activity will be on 40-6
meters (14270 kHz SSB for lighthouse hunters) using CW, SSB and FT8, and
the equipment to be used is a TT-857D into a Spider Vertical (40/30/20/17m).
QSL via K8LJG and LoTW after the trip.

HI3, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (For Topbanders!) John, W1FV, passes on the
following note: "Matt, KC1XX, is spending the winter in HI3 and asked me
to relay this message to all of you. He is on the air as HI3/KC1XX but
is experiencing terrible line noise at his present location. He hears
lots of stations calling him on the low bands, but he is having great
difficulty pulling out callsigns through the noise. He apologizes to
those who have been calling without success. However, Matt moves to a
different location down there in early February and the noise situation
should improve. At that time he should be able to hear and work more of
you."

IOTA NEWS..............
 AF-019. (Reminder) Operators Silvo/S50X, S51V, Krajcar/S52P, Peter/S54W,
 Pavla/S56DX, Berto/S56N, Slavko/S57DX and Drago/S59A will be
 active as IG9/homecall from Lampedusa Island between January
 21-27th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters, using CW, SSB, the
 Digital modes, and this will include the CQWW DX 160m CW Contest
 (January 24-26th) as a Multi-Op entry signing as IG9/S59A. QSL
 via their home callsigns.

 AS-072. Safri, 9M2SAF, will be active as 9M2SAF/P from Pulau Lalang
 Island (AS-072), Perak, West Malaysia, between January 21-27th.
 Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital
 modes. QSL via 9M2SAF direct.

 AS-099. Operators Igor/UA9CDC, Roman/UR0MC, Slava/US2YW, Eduard/UT5ECZ,
 Yuri/UT5EL, Andrej/UW8SM, Dmytro/UZ5DX, Цmьr/TA3A, Kadir/TA3AER,
 Ali/TA3EL and Husamettin/TA3LHH will be active as TC0X from
 Bozcaada Island, Turkey, during the CQ WW 160m CW Contest
 (January 24-26th) as a Multi-Op entry. QSL via HG5DX.

 EU-012. Fraser, G4BJM, will be active as GM4BJM from Yell Island during
 the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-26th).

 EU-111. Members of the Cray Valley Radio Society (G3RCV) will be active
 as GM3RC from Ceann Ear in the Monach Islands between July 20-
 26th. Their plan is to be in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-
 26th) as a Multi-2/Low-Power entry signing MM8C. QSL via LoTW.
 The group plans to be active on the HF and VHF bands using CW
 and SSB. Operators mentioned are Nobby/G0VJG, Justin/G4TSH,
 Tony/G2NF, Ed/GM0WED, Nick/G4FAL and Chris/G0FDZ.

 NA-040. Henry, NL0H, is planning to be active from St. Lawrence Island,
 Alaska, sometime between February and March. Activity will be
 limited due to his other activities on the island. Operations
 will be on 40/20 meters with 100 watts using SSB and possibly
 FT8/FT4 and 30m. He is looking for support. QSL via NL0H direct
 only.

 NA-092. Mark, AC5RN, is now active as AC5RN/W5 from Mustang Island,
 Texas, until January 20th. Activity will be on various HF
 bands (mostly CW on 40/20m, and possibly 6m). QSL via AC5RN,
 direct or LoTW.

 OC-139. Grant, VK5GR, announced on QRZ.com that there will be an acti-
 vation of Kangaroo Island as VK5KI sometime in 2020. He suggests
 to watch QRZ.com for upcoming details.

 SA-101. (New IOTA) Operators Nando/IT9YRE and Mike/K9AJ will be active
 as CB0Z from Alejandro Selkirk Island between February 3-5th.
 For DXCC purposes this will count for Juan Fernandez. Activity
 will be on 40/30/20/17/15 meters using CW, SSB and possibly FT8.
 They will have two stations using vertical antennas. QSL via

 2020 IOTA DINNER AT THE VISALIA INTERNATIONAL DX CONVENTION. Will, WC6DX,
 Visalia IOTA Dinner Coordinator, reports [edited]: Greetings, IOTA
 friends -- The 25th annual IOTA Dinner at this year's International DX
 Convention in Visalia, California will be held on Friday, April 24th,
 2020.
 If you have activated an IOTA during 2019 and might like to be a
 speaker, e-mail me privately. I'm planning the program now.
 If you missed last year's dinner, the speakers included KO8SCA pre-
 senting his and VE3LYC's expeditions to TX0M OC-297 (New) Morane I.
 and TX0A OC-113 Maria Est; K9AJ presented his and KD6WW's expedition
 to /VY0 NA-207 Fafard I.; and a presentation and video sent by UA9KDF
 and UA1QV on the RI0B expedition to the four rare Arctic Islands of

Palm Island (aka Prune Island, WW Loc. FK92HO, IOTA NA-025), in the St.
Vincent and the Grenadines Island group, between April 6-15th. Activity
will be holiday style on 40/20/17/15/10/6 meters using CW, SSB, SSTV
and FT8. He will use a Yaesu FT991A into a 10m vertical antenna, a M0CVO
HW-40HP off center fed dipole and possibly new antennas. QSL via GW4DVB

KH6, HAWAII. Operators Stanley/AH6KO, Curt/AH6RE, Lloyd/KH6LC, Robert/NH6V,
Oliver/W6NV, Jim/W6SC, Frederic/KH7Y, Denny/KX7M and Gary/W7EE will be
active as KH6/N6DA during the ARRL DX CW Contest (February 15-16th) as
as Multi-Multi entry. QSL via WA6WPG or direct. The group reports [edited]:
"Our MM will be signing KH6/N6DA this year in honor of our good friend Don
Amyx, N6DA, who passed away in 2017. Don was one of the founding members
of the NCCC and frequently joined the KH6LC group in our MM efforts. He
was a great CW operator and always fun to be around. We hope you'll re-
member Don when you work KH6/N6DA in the upcoming ARRL DX CW Contest.

OX80/OZ80, GREENLAND AND DENMARK (Special Event). Many Greenlandic and
Denmark radio amateur stations will be celebrating the 80th birthday of
H.M. The Queen of Denmark in these two DXCC entities. Look for special
event stations OX80HM and OZ80HM to be active on all bands until April

P4, ARUBA. Lee, K3DMG, is active as K3DMG/P4 from Aruba (SA-036) as of
January 17th through the end of February. Activity will be on 80-10
meters with the focus on the Digital modes. QSL via LoTW only. No paper
QSLs.

P4, ARUBA. Operators Bill/N4IQ and Bob/ND7J will be active as P4/N4IQ
and P4/ND7J from Aruba (SA-036) between July 15-22nd. Activity will be on
160-10 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8. Their activity will also include
the IARU HF World Championship (July 11-12th) signing as P40US. QSL via

PJ2, CURACAO. Jeff, K8ND, is once again active as PJ2ND from the PJ2T
Caribbean Contesting Consortium's (CCC) Signal Point contest station on
Curacao Island (SA-099, WLOTA 0942) until February 3rd. Jim, W8WTS, will
join him and sign PJ2/W8WTS between January 22-28th. The two operators
will be active as PJ2T during the CQWW 160 Meter CW Contest (January

PJ4, BONAIRE. Klass, PA1KE, is now active as PJ4/PA1KE as of January 18th.

PJ4, BONAIRE. John, K4BAI, will be active as PJ4A from Bonaire (SA-006,
WLOTA LH-1279) during the CQWW DX 160 Meter CW Contest (January 24-26th)
as a Single-Op/High-Power entry. Station will be operated remotely (using

T40, CUBA (Special Event). Members of the DX Group of Cuba will celebrating
the 15th anniversary of a Mexican homologous organization and the founding
of the DXXE Group. The DX Group of Cuba will activate the special event
station T40DXXE between January 20-31st. Activity will be on CW, SSB and
FT8 on various HF bands with the best propagation when the operators have
free time as it allows. Whoever manages to contact the station on at
least three bands, regardless of mode, will receive a special certificate
in digital format. The DXXE Group encourages radio activity during inter-
national competitions, expeditions, island activations, as well as experi-
mentation with new technologies applied to radio communications. On the
other hand, it grants the "DXXE Diploma" to those who demonstrate having
contacted at least three members of the group. The DXXE brings together
renowned Mexican operators and others from the countries in the Americas,
Europe and Asia. There will be other celebrations for this anniversary as
well as other special event stations from South America, Mexico, Spain,
Canary Islands and France being added throughout the year. For more

T8, PALAU (Reminder/Update). JA operators Shimatake/JI3DNN (T88CZ),
Kunio/JH3LSS (T88DK), Shozo/JA3HJI (T88DN), Jusei/JA3IVU (T88ED), Tatsuo/
JA3ARJ (T88EF) and Masum/JA3AVO (T88MB) are now active from the VIP Guest

Activity will be on 160-10 meters using various modes. QSL via their

T8 PALAU. Yoshiaki, JR3QFB, will once again be active as T88JH from Koror
Island (OC-009) between March 27-31st September 17-28th. Activity will be
on 160-6 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK, JT65 and FT8/FT4. He also plans
to be in the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 28-29th). QSL T88JH via JR3QFB,
direct, by the Bureau (JA only), eQSL, LoTW or ClubLog.

TI9, COCOS ISLAND (Update). After 2 years planning, operators Jorge/TI2JV,
Dmitry/RA9USU, Mats/SM6LRR and Andrew/UA3AB will be active as TI9A from
Chatham Bay, Isla del Coco [Cocos Island (NA-012)], between February 2-8th.
Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and possibly FT8, with
three stations on the air. They will have two camps, eight radios and 20
antennas. QSL via UA3DX, ClubLog's OQRS or LoTW. They now have a Web page

TU, CФTE D'IVOIRE. Operators Petr/OK1BOA, Petr/OK1FCJ and David/OK6DJ
will be active as TU5PCT from the Radio Club ADRASEC RCI in Abidjan,
Cфte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), between February 24-29th. Activity will be
on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8. QSL via OK6DJ, ClubLog's
OQRS or LoTW.

UA7, EUROPEAN RUSSIA. Operators Andrey/RW7K, Andy/UB7K, Oleg/R3FA and
Andrei/RK7A will be active as UA7K from Kerch during the CQ 160m CW
Contest (January 24-26th) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL via LoTW.

V4, ST. KITTS. John, W5JON, will once again be active as V47JA from his
Calypso Bay, St. Kitts, West Indies vacation home, located 200 feet from
the Caribbean Sea, between February 21st and March 5th. Activity will
be on 160-6 meters (incl. 60m) using SSB and FT8. Equipment is a Yaesu
FT1000MP, FT857D and an Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier. John states his an-
tennas are a Mosley Mini32A 10/15/20m, 33' Vertical 10-40m, 35' Top
Loaded 80m Vertical, 160m Vertical and 6m 5 element Yagi. ALL QSLs go
to W5JON direct or via LoTW. NO Bureau QSLs.
