2021 CQMM DX CONTEST. Ed, PY4WAS, wants to remind everyone that the
CQMM DX Contest (CW) is in less than 30 days. Contest is between April
17-18th, and is organized/coordinated by the CWJF Group. For more details,

3W, VIETNAM (Delayed). Brian, AA5H, who was expected to be active as
3W9OK from Da Nang (WW Loc. OK46), Vietnam, between March-April, has
now delayed his operation until May-June due to Convid-19 restrictions.
4A, MEXICO. Alejandro, XE1EE, will be active as 4A5E from Querétaro,
Mexico, during the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th). QSL via LoTW
and EA5ZD only.
4L, GEORGIA. Operator Vaho, 4L8A, will be active during the CQWW WPX SSB
Contests (March 27-28th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m) entry. QSL
via M0OXO or LoTW.
A25, BOTSWANA. The Russian team continues to be active as A25RU from
Botswana near Gaborone until March 28th (QRT March 29th). Activity has
been on various HF bands (160-10m; NO 60m) and QO-100 SAT (depends on
propagation) with the priority to most distant regions (NA and ASIA),
using CW, SSB and FT8 (F/H) modes. They report that they have logged
more than 1000 QSOs on Top-band. Total QSOs count as of March 25th, is
30,670 Qs with 9329 Unique callsigns. Breakdown count by mode: 11863/CW,
603/SSB and 18204/FT8. Breakdown by Continent (%): 1.1/AF, 15.3/AS,
61.2/EU, 19.9/NA, 0.6/OC and 1.9/SA. QSL via R7AL, ClubLog's OQRS, direct,

during the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th) as a Single-Op/Single-

CP, BOLIVIA. Antonio, EA5RM, is once again be active as CP1XRM from
Bolivia until April 27th, working as Solidaridad Medica and Radio-
amateurs Without Frontiers NGO volunteer. Activity will be limited
to his spare time on 160-10 meters using SSB and the Digital modes.

YL Bun/E25KAE and Mew/E29TGW will be active as E2A from Bangkok during
the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL

E2, THAILAND. Operators Beer/E21FYK, Colt/E23NEZ, Jack/HS1FVL, Nikorn/
HS5NMF, YL Alice/HS5BQT and possibly others will be active as E2E from
Bangkok during the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th) as a Multi-2
entry. QSL via E23NEZ.
E7, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA (Special Event). Members of the Radio Club
Zenica are using the special event callsign E7EGG from Zenica until March
31st. Activity is to celebrate the first day of spring each year. In the
city of Zenica, there is the tradition of gathering and celebrating coming
of spring, and on that day special tradition is to make breakfast and meals
during the day with lot of eggs. The festival is also known as the "Festival
of the scrambled Eggs." Eggs mark the beginning of new life, and people
make enormous amounts of scrambled eggs to feed the masses for free. Many
people come to the gathering and enjoy the day with music and relax by
the river. The festival is held each year in the park by the river in the
central part of the city. QSL cards will be sent to all contacts. QSL
via the Bureau to E71EZC.
FR, REUNION ISLAND (New Arrivals). Operators Phil/F5TRO and XYL Ann/F5BSB
will be new arrivals and permanent residents on the island in May. Their
callsigns will be FR8UA and FR8TZ, respectively. Phil states he will be
active on 80-2 meters (and 70cm) at first, using CW, SSB and some Digital
modes. QSL via direct or LoTW.
GB5, GUERNSEY. Members of the Guernsey Amateur Radio Society (GARS) will
activate the special event station GB5LIB between 0001 UTC, May 8th, and
2359 UTC, May 14th. Activity will be on all bands and modes from 160-10
meters, and maybe 4/6m if conditions allow. Some satellite operation is
likely too, including QO100. The station will be on air to celebrate the
76th anniversary of the Liberation of the islands in the Bailiwick of

HI, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. Members of the Loma del Toro DX Club will be
active as HI3LT from Loma del Toro, Santiago, during the CQWW WPX SSB

AF-018. Operator Raffaele, IH9YMC, will be active from Pantelleria
Island (IIA TP-001, MIA MI-124, WW Loc. JM56XT), African Italy,
during the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th) as a Single-Op
entry. QSL via LoTW or eQSL.
AS-117. Kenji, JA4GXS, will be active as JA4GXS/4 from Otsu Island
between April 17-18th. Activity will be on 40/30/20 meters
using CW, SSB and FT8. QSL via his home callsign.
AS-152. (Update) By the time you read this, the members of the Arctic
Legends Team (RT9K) should be going QRT as RI0Q from Bolshoj
Begichev Island. Originally, the team was going to go QRT on
March 27th, but due to weather conditions the team's last day
will be March 26th. The expected weather forecast is to be
blizzard conditions, so they wanted to avoid the danger it
brings and head home on Saturday. QSL only via ClubLog's OQRS.

NA-168. Operators Allan/KV4T and Bridget/KS4YT will be active during
the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th) as a Multi-Op entry from
the Grand Isle Louisiana Southeast Group. Activity will be
split between the two callsigns. QSL via their home callsigns.
OC-245. (Reminder) Operators Anton/YB5QZ, Wir/YB5WIR, Endy/YB5OB,
Ria/YC5TEB and Syahril/YD5NDR are now active as 7D5RI from
Rupat Islands (ARLHS IDO-315), in the Sumatra Coastal Islands,
within the Riau Province of Indonesia, between March 26-28th.
Activity will be on 80-10 meters using CW, SSB, and FT8. QSL
via LoTW preferred.
SA-092. Markus, DJ4EL, who has postponed his April operation, will
once again try to activate Pagegaaien Island (WW Loc. GJ15kv)
as PZ5G between October 15-18th. Activity should be on 80-10
meters using CW and SSB. He will also be active from Suriname
when not on SA-092 as PZ5GE between October 9-23rd. QSL both
callsigns via LoTW or his home callsign.

JW, SVALBARD (Reminder). Stian, LB5SH, will be active as JW/LB5SH from the
JW5E club station in Longyearbyen (JQ78tf) on Spitsbergen Island (EU-026),
between now and March 28th. Activity will be on various HF bands using SSB
and FT8. He will also be in the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th) using
the callsign JW2T. QSL JW/LB5SH and JW2T via LoTW or ClubLog.
JW, SVALBARD. There is a new station on Bear Island (EU-027) by the club
"Bjørnøya Meteorologiske Stasjon" and the callsign is JW1I. We only saw
one QSN on the PacketCluster and it was 20 meters SSB. QSL via the Bureau
(LA). Erling, LB2PG, seems to manage the station per QRZ.com, and he is
there currently as JW/LB2PG.
K6, UNITED STATES (KA6LMS Special Event - Going QRT with a bang!) If
you're a fan of Tim Allen's TV series "Last Man Standing", you'll have
a final chance to contact the shows Amateur Radio Club station before
it goes QRT. The KA6LMS radio special event station has been active since
March 24th and will runs through March 30th, which is the show's final
day of shooting. Activity will be an all modes and bands; including the
satellites. Fans will have the opportunity to work the bonus 1-by-1
stations; K6L, K6M, K6S, W6L, W6M and W6S. Stations from every callsign
area will operate as KA6LMS/0 through KA6LMS/9, providing nationwide
coverage. The remote operators are a virtual "who's-who" of ham cele-
brities, contesters and podcasters. Many will livestream their operations.
Check spotting sites like DXSummit for pop-up operations on any day and
at any time during the event week. They expect the "on-stage" radios to
be in operation from the studio in California on Saturday, March 27th at
18:00 UTC using 20 meters and on Sunday at 22:00 UTC using 40 meters.
Remote stations will act as relays to give everyone an opportunity to
make contact with the stage. If you're a fan of digital modes, Saturday,
March 27th, is your day. At 17:00 UTC - KA6LMS will be using D-STAR on
reflector 12 Alpha, hosted by the PAPA Repeater System. At 19:00 UTC -
The D-STAR action moves to reflector 30 Bravo, hosted by Georgia D-STAR.
At 23:00 UTC - Amateur Logic. TV will host the KA6LMS Multi Mode QSO
PARTY using: Allstar, DMR via Brandmeister, D-Star, NXDN, P25, Echolink,
Hamshack Hotline, Wires-X and Yaesu System Fusion. A livestream of this

"Going QRT with a bang!" KA6LMS QSL cards will be available for stations

will be active as OL75KCR from Chrudim to celebrate the 75th anniversary
of the foundation of Radioclub Chrudim. Activity will be from April 1st

OZ75, DENMARK (Special Event). To commemorate the 75th anniversary of
the end of World War II, and thus Denmark's liberation, the callsign
OZ75MAY was active in May 2020. However, Bornholm Island was not lib-
erated until April 5th, 1946, so Danish radio amateurs will be active
with the two special callsigns OZ75BO and OZ75MAY during the period of
April 1-11th, 2021. Activity will be on all the bands, including the
WARC bands, using CW, SSB and all Digital modes. Operators active from
Bornholm Island (EU-030) and the surrounding islands, will use the call-
sign OZ75BO. Operators in the rest of Denmark will use the callsign
OZ75MAY. QSL both callsigns via OZ1ACB or ClubLog's OQRS. They prefer

TM21, FRANCE (Special Event). Members of the Radio Club du Val D'issole
will activate TM21OG from Le Castellet, France, between July 23rd and
August 8th. Activity is to celebrate this year's Olympic Games in Japan.
Operations will be on 160-6 meters using CW, SSB, PSK, RTTY and FT8/FT4.

TO1, ST. MARTIN (Update). Janusz, SP9FIH, is on Saint Martin Island
(NA-105) and will be active as TO1K until April 5th. He states, "My
QTH in Saint Martin has very little space for antennas. I will operate
until Friday, March 26th, on 60, 30, 17 and 12m. From Saturday, March
27th, operation will be on 40, 30, 20 and 15 meter bands." Activity will
be on SSB, RTTY and FT8. Operations will include the CQWW WPX SSB Contest
(March 27-28th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (40m) entry (He states, "if

VP8, FALKLAND ISLANDS (SA-002). The Falkland Islands will have a new
operator in May. Matthew, M0ZMS, informs OPDX of the following [edited]:
"I will be deploying to the British Forces South Atlantic Islands (BFSAI),
Mount Pleasant Complex, Falkland Islands, at the end of April after two
weeks quarantine here in the UK.
Falkland Islands Communications Regulator has issued me with the full
temporary license VP8ZMS valid from now until my expected departure at
the end of August 2021.
I hope to be active using the RAFARS club station shack (VP8RAF & VP8FIR),
but I am taking my own FT-817, digital interface and some basic dipole kit
just as backup.
Details of Rigs/power/modes & Bands I will try to publish here, VP8ZMS

other info I find interesting!
If time permits, or for a special occasion I will activate VP8RAF, but
QSL cards etc are not in my control with that call.
I am in the process of setting up LoTW & ClubLog for the call, and will

My main focus of operating is of course to have a go at being the
'Rare DX' for once, but also to promote awareness of the Royal Air Force
Amateur Radio Society (RAFARS, of which I am the serving members repre-

and the RAF/BFSAI."

Activity is to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the first vaccine
to be developed against a contagious disease (Small Pox) in 1796. QSL

3W, VIETNAM (Delayed). Brian, AA5H, who was expected to be active as
3W9OK from Da Nang (WW Loc. OK46), Vietnam, between March-April, has
now delayed his operation until May-June due to Convid-19 restrictions.
4A, MEXICO. Alejandro, XE1EE, will be active as 4A5E from Querétaro,
Mexico, during the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th). QSL via LoTW

4L, GEORGIA. Operator Vaho, 4L8A, will be active during the CQWW WPX SSB

A25, BOTSWANA. The Russian team continues to be active as A25RU from
Botswana near Gaborone until March 28th (QRT March 29th). Activity has
been on various HF bands (160-10m; NO 60m) and QO-100 SAT (depends on
propagation) with the priority to most distant regions (NA and ASIA),
using CW, SSB and FT8 (F/H) modes. They report that they have logged
more than 1000 QSOs on Top-band. Total QSOs count as of March 25th, is
30,670 Qs with 9329 Unique callsigns. Breakdown count by mode: 11863/CW,
603/SSB and 18204/FT8. Breakdown by Continent (%): 1.1/AF, 15.3/AS,

E7, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA (Special Event). Members of the Radio Club
Zenica are using the special event callsign E7EGG from Zenica until March
31st. Activity is to celebrate the first day of spring each year. In the
city of Zenica, there is the tradition of gathering and celebrating coming
of spring, and on that day special tradition is to make breakfast and meals
during the day with lot of eggs. The festival is also known as the "Festival
of the scrambled Eggs." Eggs mark the beginning of new life, and people
make enormous amounts of scrambled eggs to feed the masses for free. Many
people come to the gathering and enjoy the day with music and relax by
the river. The festival is held each year in the park by the river in the
central part of the city. QSL cards will be sent to all contacts. QSL
via the Bureau to E71EZC.
FR, REUNION ISLAND (New Arrivals). Operators Phil/F5TRO and XYL Ann/F5BSB
will be new arrivals and permanent residents on the island in May. Their
callsigns will be FR8UA and FR8TZ, respectively. Phil states he will be
active on 80-2 meters (and 70cm) at first, using CW, SSB and some Digital
modes. QSL via direct or LoTW.
GB5, GUERNSEY. Members of the Guernsey Amateur Radio Society (GARS) will
activate the special event station GB5LIB between 0001 UTC, May 8th, and
2359 UTC, May 14th. Activity will be on all bands and modes from 160-10
meters, and maybe 4/6m if conditions allow. Some satellite operation is
likely too, including QO100. The station will be on air to celebrate the
76th anniversary of the Liberation of the islands in the Bailiwick of

AS-152. (Update) By the time you read this, the members of the Arctic
Legends Team (RT9K) should be going QRT as RI0Q from Bolshoj
Begichev Island. Originally, the team was going to go QRT on
March 27th, but due to weather conditions the team's last day
will be March 26th. The expected weather forecast is to be
blizzard conditions, so they wanted to avoid the danger it

the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th) as a Multi-Op entry from
the Grand Isle Louisiana Southeast Group. Activity will be

OC-245. (Reminder) Operators Anton/YB5QZ, Wir/YB5WIR, Endy/YB5OB,

Rupat Islands (ARLHS IDO-315), in the Sumatra Coastal Islands,

SA-092. Markus, DJ4EL, who has postponed his April operation, will
once again try to activate Pagegaaien Island (WW Loc. GJ15kv)
as PZ5G between October 15-18th. Activity should be on 80-10
meters using CW and SSB. He will also be active from Suriname
when not on SA-092 as PZ5GE between October 9-23rd. QSL both

JW, SVALBARD (Reminder). Stian, LB5SH, will be active as JW/LB5SH from the
JW5E club station in Longyearbyen (JQ78tf) on Spitsbergen Island (EU-026),
between now and March 28th. Activity will be on various HF bands using SSB
and FT8. He will also be in the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th) using
the callsign JW2T. QSL JW/LB5SH and JW2T via LoTW or ClubLog.
JW, SVALBARD. There is a new station on Bear Island (EU-027) by the club
"Bjørnøya Meteorologiske Stasjon" and the callsign is JW1I. We only saw
one QSN on the PacketCluster and it was 20 meters SSB. QSL via the Bureau
(LA). Erling, LB2PG, seems to manage the station per QRZ.com, and he is
there currently as JW/LB2PG.
K6, UNITED STATES (KA6LMS Special Event - Going QRT with a bang!) If
you're a fan of Tim Allen's TV series "Last Man Standing", you'll have
a final chance to contact the shows Amateur Radio Club station before
it goes QRT. The KA6LMS radio special event station has been active since
March 24th and will runs through March 30th, which is the show's final
day of shooting. Activity will be an all modes and bands; including the
satellites. Fans will have the opportunity to work the bonus 1-by-1
stations; K6L, K6M, K6S, W6L, W6M and W6S. Stations from every callsign
area will operate as KA6LMS/0 through KA6LMS/9, providing nationwide
coverage. The remote operators are a virtual "who's-who" of ham cele-
brities, contesters and podcasters. Many will livestream their operations.
Check spotting sites like DXSummit for pop-up operations on any day and
at any time during the event week. They expect the "on-stage" radios to
be in operation from the studio in California on Saturday, March 27th at
18:00 UTC using 20 meters and on Sunday at 22:00 UTC using 40 meters.
Remote stations will act as relays to give everyone an opportunity to
make contact with the stage. If you're a fan of digital modes, Saturday,
March 27th, is your day. At 17:00 UTC - KA6LMS will be using D-STAR on

OZ75, DENMARK (Special Event). To commemorate the 75th anniversary of
the end of World War II, and thus Denmark's liberation, the callsign
OZ75MAY was active in May 2020. However, Bornholm Island was not lib-
erated until April 5th, 1946, so Danish radio amateurs will be active
with the two special callsigns OZ75BO and OZ75MAY during the period of
April 1-11th, 2021. Activity will be on all the bands, including the
WARC bands, using CW, SSB and all Digital modes. Operators active from
Bornholm Island (EU-030) and the surrounding islands, will use the call-
sign OZ75BO. Operators in the rest of Denmark will use the callsign
OZ75MAY. QSL both callsigns via OZ1ACB or ClubLog's OQRS. They prefer

TM21, FRANCE (Special Event). Members of the Radio Club du Val D'issole
will activate TM21OG from Le Castellet, France, between July 23rd and
August 8th. Activity is to celebrate this year's Olympic Games in Japan.
Operations will be on 160-6 meters using CW, SSB, PSK, RTTY and FT8/FT4.

TO1, ST. MARTIN (Update). Janusz, SP9FIH, is on Saint Martin Island
(NA-105) and will be active as TO1K until April 5th. He states, "My
QTH in Saint Martin has very little space for antennas. I will operate
until Friday, March 26th, on 60, 30, 17 and 12m. From Saturday, March
27th, operation will be on 40, 30, 20 and 15 meter bands." Activity will
be on SSB, RTTY and FT8. Operations will include the CQWW WPX SSB Contest
(March 27-28th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (40m) entry (He states, "if

VP8, FALKLAND ISLANDS (SA-002). The Falkland Islands will have a new
operator in May. Matthew, M0ZMS, informs OPDX of the following [edited]:
"I will be deploying to the British Forces South Atlantic Islands (BFSAI),
Mount Pleasant Complex, Falkland Islands, at the end of April after two
weeks quarantine here in the UK.
Falkland Islands Communications Regulator has issued me with the full
temporary license VP8ZMS valid from now until my expected departure at
the end of August 2021.
I hope to be active using the RAFARS club station shack (VP8RAF & VP8FIR),
but I am taking my own FT-817, digital interface and some basic dipole kit
just as backup.
Details of Rigs/power/modes & Bands I will try to publish here, VP8ZMS

other info I find interesting!
If time permits, or for a special occasion I will activate VP8RAF, but
QSL cards etc are not in my control with that call.

My main focus of operating is of course to have a go at being the
'Rare DX' for once, but also to promote awareness of the Royal Air Force

Activity is to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the first vaccine
to be developed against a contagious disease (Small Pox) in 1796. QSL

CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 27-28th) as a Single-Op entry. Activity will
