FaceBook page:
** Erwann, LB1QI, Co-Leader of the 3Y0J Team, posted the following on
November 21st and 25th [edited]: ** The latest 3Y0J donation progress
bar is out! ** -- Thanks to the generous support of Clubs and indi-
viduals worldwide, we have now reached 75% of our anticipated budget.
This is great but still not enough to pay the bills.
We need as much as possible upfront donations to be able to set a
foot on Bouvet island and activate the #2 Most Wanted entity in the
world.
Our stations will be QRV in all modes CW, SSB and FT8, no one will
be left on the side. We are currently working at optimizing the effi-
ciency of our radio setup and antenna layout to maximize the number
of QSOs and do our best to work you during your best propagation
opening time.
With your precious help we will make it!
There are several ways to help:
You can use Paypal for donations: (bouvet@3y0j.no) in your app or
via our website: https://www.3y0j.no/funding
Please consider making a donation to our DXpedition, there are no
small contributions. And of course, don't forget to visit our web
site (https://www.3y0j.no) to learn more about our project and
stay update.
Best Regards,
The 3Y0J Team

** Ken Opskar LA7GIA, Co-Leader of the 3Y0J Team, posted the following
on November 23rd [edited]: We're currently working on a winch system
that will assist us with bringing equipment from the beach up the
5-10m cliff at Cape Fie. We have identified 3 different access points
on the cliff that all have different grades and properties, as such
we have 3 possible routes to the camp. We plan for climbing the small
cliff by bolting a route and access it with ropes, if a ladder can
not be used. We will install the winch on the top of the cliff which
will make it easy to lift all the equipment including bulky generators,
antennas, tents, fuel and other stuff. We will have an electric winch
system, but also possibility for non-electric operation. As well tra-
ditional ropes to lift parts. Rune, LA7THA, was in South America last
week, and he brought with him parts from HK to be used on Bouvet. These
parts and the system we look into is well proven and tested with far
heavier loads than we plan to lift at Bouvet - see some photos below.

PIRATE ALERT. A few sources are reporting that Zorro, JH1AT, has con-
tacted the Myanmar Government about the XZ7A station, and was told by
the Deputy Director General of Post and Telecommunications Department
that the XZ7A has not been given a permit/license. So the XZ7A station
is definitely a PIRATE.

a few HS, DU, VK, FK4, and of course VU. And one KL7! Unfortunately, I
have damaged the rotor controller and the antenna is stuck in the JA
