3B9, RODRIGUES ISLAND (Update). Kazu, M0CFW (JK3GAD), will be active as
3B9/M0CFW from Rodrigues Island (AF-017, WW Loc. MH10QH) between November
20-30th. Look for him to sign 3B9KW during the CQWW DX CW Contest (November
26-27th) as a Single-Op entry. QSL via LoTW.
3C, EQUATORIAL GUINEA (Update). Ersoy, TA2OM, is now active as 3C3CA (not
3C3W as announced last week) from Malabo, Bioko Island (AF-010), Equatorial
Guinea, as of September 26th. He was using 3C/TA2OM up to that date. Ersoy
will be here "for one month more, maybe two. I don't know. I was just
working all the time, make work first :)" Activity will be mainly FT8
using an Icom IC-7300 into a Comet multi-band vertical. Operations have
been on 40/10 meters. QSL via TA2OM.
3Y0J BOUVET ISLAND DXPEDITION NEWS (Update). Co-Leaders Ken, LA7GIA,
posted a very long budget update (the 4th) on the 3Y0J Bouvet Island
FaceBook page on September 28th. The team has raised 95% (670,000 USDs)
of the 705,000 USDs needed. You can view this report at:

5R, MADAGASCAR (Reminder/Update). Francesco, IK6QON, will be active as
5R8FG from Madagascar between October 8-17th. Activity will be holiday
style on various HF bands using CW and SSB, with a multi-band vertical
antenna and JPC-7 with 100w. He mentions that he will be on Nosy Be Island
(AF-057), Nosy Iranja Island (AF-57) and in the Antsiranana City (Diego
Suarez) which is in the north part of Madagascar (AF-013) the main island.

7Q, MALAWI. It has been reported that Don, K6ZO, will once again be active
as 7Q6M from Malawi between October 19th and November 29th. Activity will
be on 160-6 meters, and entries in both CQWW DX SSB and CW Contests. QSL
via LoTW, or via K6ZO direct.
CE, CHILE. Operators Robert/CE3CT, Ezequiel/LU1FP, Luciano/LU3DX, AndrÇs/
LU9FVS, Esteban/LW1DTZ, Mathias/CE2LR, Dale/CE2SV, Cristian/CE2DX and
Luis/CE2ML will be active as CE3CT from the Chesterland Contest station
in Santiago, Chile, during the CQWW DX SSB Contest(October 29-30th) as
a Multi-2 or Multi-Multi entry. QSL via LoTW.
CQ/CR3/CT9, MADEIRA. Operators Helmut/DF7EE and Georg/DD8ZX will be active
as CT9/DF7EE and CT9/DD8ZX, respectively, from Madeira starting October
25th. Activity will include the CQWW DX SSB Contest (October 29-30th)
using the callsign CQ3W (or CR3W). Look for activity before and after
the contest with some operations on 60m. QSL via info on QRZ.com.
DR4, GERMANY (Special Event). Members of the DARC OV Haan (R24) are active
using the special callsign, DR45HAAN, to celebrate their organization's
45th anniversary until September 30th, 2023. QSLs will be sent out via
the Bureau automatically (your card is not needed). If you do not use
the Bureau, QSL via DL7ET direct (see QRZ.com).
DXCC NEWS (Beware!). The Daily DX posted the following: It has been brought
to our attention DXCC Card Checkers are receiving scam emails indicating
their ARRL card checker membership will expire within 24 hours if they do
not click on the hyperlink. Do not click on the link. This email is a scam;
please delete it. The ARRL Awards Department did not generate this email.

eQSL.
EU-042. Tom, DJ6OI, is expected to be active as DJ6OI/P from Föhr
Island (WW Loc. JO44GQ) until October 9th. Activity will
probably be on CW and FT8 on various HF bands. QSL via DJ6OI,

RI1, ANTARCTICA. A few sources are reporting that Oleg, ZS1OIN, is expected
to be active as RI1ANU from Novolazarevskaya Station, Antarctica, starting
around October 24th. Activity will be on various HF bands when time
permits using IC-7300, amplifier and beam antennas. QSL via his home
callsign.
TX7, MARQUESAS ISLANDS (Reminder). By the time you read this, Didier,
F6BCW, will be active as TX7G from the Atuona, Hiva Oa Island, Marquesas
Islands (OC-027) until October 15th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters
using CW, SSB and possibly FT8 and RTTY. He suggests to watch between
0300-0700z and 1500-1700z. QSL via F6BCW, direct or by the Bureau. ADDED
NOTE. Didier was active earlier in the week as FO/F6BCW from Tahiti Island
(OC-046). He will return to French Polynesia between October 16-20th. QSL

TY5, BENIN (Update). The Russian DXpedition Team (RUDXT) will be active
as TY0RU from Benin between October 14-27th. Their schedule is as follows:
October 11th -- Two Team Members Fly Out to Check QTH for Interference
October 13th -- Start of the expedition. The main part of the Team
gathers in Moscow and flies to Benin
October 14-26th -- Installation of working positions, start of work
on the air
October 27th -- QRT, folding positions, preparing for the team's
relegation home
This is the same group who activated 7P8RU, 7Q7RU, A25RU and E44RU.
Current operators mentioned are Vasily/R7AL, Vlad/R9LR, Vasily/RA1ZZ,
Andy/RT2O, Alex/R9LM, Slav/RW8A, Leo/RW9JZ, Nick/R5EC and Ilya/R5AF. Team
leaders are Vasily/RA1ZZ and Vasily/R7AL. The team will have 9 radios
available with various antennas, and will be on 160-6 meters, including
60m, using CW, SSB and FT8 (N/M & F/H). They will also make QO-100 satel-
lite contacts. QSL Manger is Vasily/RA1ZZ. All expedition logs will be
uploaded to ClubLog (direct or by the Bureau) and LoTW with fast upload
to LoTW for donors and sponsors. For sponsors and donors, QSLs will be

V4, ST. KITTS. John, W5JON, will once again be active as V47JA from his
Calypso Bay, St. Kitts, West Indies vacation home, located 200 feet from
the Caribbean Sea, until October 12th. Activity will be on 160-6 meters
(incl. 60m) using SSB and FT8. Equipment is a Yaesu FT1000MP, FT450D and
an Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier. John states his antennas are a Mosley
Mini32A 10/15/20m, 33' Vertical 10-40m, 35' Top Loaded 80m Vertical,
160m Vertical and 6m 5 element Yagi. ALL QSLs go to W5JON direct or via
LoTW. NO Bureau QSLs.
VP2M, MONTSERRAT. George, K2DM (ex-VP2MDG since October 2019), announced
that he will active as VP2MDM from Gingerbread Hill, Montserrat during
the last full weekend of October. His priority is the CQWW DX SSB Contest
(October 29-30th), but he plans to do a lot of FT8/FT4 before and after
the contest. QSL via LoTW or direct to his home callsign. NO BUREAU CARDS.
VP9, BERMUDA. Christoph, DL1YAF, is once again active as VP9/DL1YAF from
the Paget Parish (Grid FM72OG) on Bermuda (NA-005) until October 6th.
Activity will be holiday style on CW, SSB and PSK31, using an IC-705
with a KXPA100 into a DX Commander Lite and Dipole. QSL via home call-
sign, by the Bureau or direct.
YB0, INDONESIA. Pri, YB0ECT, from Jakarta, will be active during the
CQWW DX SSB Contest (October 29-30th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power
entry. QSL via W2FB only!
ZA, ALBANIA. Peter, OE6PBD, is expected to be active as ZA/OE6PBD from
Lake Shkodra Resort, Albania, until October 10th. He reports on QRZ.com
that he will be on QO-100 and as a "Guest Op" on 2 meters EME. QSL via
OE6PBD, by the Bureau or direct.
