Civil Aviation Day (Dec. 7) between Dec. 7 and 14 on HF (CW, SSB,

Luca/IK2NCJ, Massimo/IZ4DPV, and Andrea/HB9DUR will be active as

The special event station DT23WOP operates around the 23rd Olympic

John/PY2GTA will be participating in the ARRL 10m Contest with the

S510PMC is going to draw attention to the Peace Messenger City and
the programme's contest (Jan. 6/7) between Dec. 7 and Jan. 7. QSL

Ulmar/DK1CE remains active as V5/DK1CE on a visit to Martin's
(V51W) QTH until Dec. 15. QRV on 160-6m on CW and some SSB. QSL via

Adrian/G0KOM will be operating as ZC4MK between the 5th and 12th on

Rolf/DL7VEE has announced the launch of the website for the

YL-Expedition TM64YL:
Christiane/DL4CR informs us that Christine/F4GDI organises a
YL-Expedition to L'Ile de Noirmoutier (EU-064) for August 25 to 31
in 2018 with the call TM64YL. Interested YLs were asked to contact
Christine until Dec. 1.
Jean/F8IL - silent key:
The oldest radio amateur in France and probably the world, Jean
Touzot/F8IL, passed away on Dec. 1 aged 109 years. Since 1951 he
was a member of the Reseau des Emetteurs Francais (REF) and the
Union Francaise des Telegraphistes (UFT).

DXNL 2061 reported on a planned DXpedition to Rotuma. The group,
consisting of Tony/3D2AG, Heye/DJ9RR, Ernoe/DK2AMM, Hans/DL6JGN,
and Ron/PA3EWP, has now received their license and callsign: 3D2EU.
They will be active from Feb. 23 until March 16.

The Perseverance DX Group announces a DXpedition to Ducie Island
(OC-102) for Oct. 20 to Nov. 3 in 2018. The team (DJ9RR, HA0NAR,
HA5AO, K3EL, K5GS, N6HC, N6HD, N6WM, N6XG, PY2PT, W1SRD, W2LK,
WA6O, and ZL3CW) plans to set up seven rigs for 160-10m (SSB, CW,
