The weekend of May 26/27 sees this year's CQ WW WPX CW Contest, a good
opportunity to rake in some rare prefixes for the various WPX awards from
among the thousands of participants around the world. For more information

4L, Georgia:
Mamuka/4L2M will be active in the contest on 160m (single band).

6O, Somalia:
Baldur/DJ6SI is currently active as 6O0X from Hargeisa until June
6. QSL via DJ6SI.
6Y, Jamaica:
Armin/DK9PY will be operating as 6Y6N between May 23 and June 6
from Josh's/6Y5WJ QTH. QRV on HF on CW with a focus on the contest.

8P, Barbados:
Charles/8P6ET plans to take part in the contest as 8P1W from
Barbados (NA-021) on all bands. QSL via KU9C.
9H, Malta:
Henning/OZ1BII will be active in the contest from Malta (EU-023)
with the call 9H3EE. QRV from the 24th to 28th on CW. QSL via

9K, Kuwait:
Abdallah/9K2GS will be signing 9K2K in the contest on all bands.

9M6, East Malaysia:
Saty/JE1JKL will be back on the air as 9M6NA from Labuan Island
(OC-133, WW Loc. OJ75) between May 21 and June 11. QRV on HF and

A2, Botswana:
Dave/VE7VR operates holiday-style as A25VR from Botswana between

EA8, Canary Islands:
Juan/EA8RM plans to be active in the contest as EF8R from Gran
Canaria (AF-004) on all bands. QSL via EB7DX, LoTW.
FR, Reunion Islands:
Thomas/F4HPX is going to pay Reunion (AF-016) a visit from May 25
until June 15. QRV as FR/F4HPX on 40-15m (SSB, digital modes, some

OZ, Denmark:
The special event stations OZ50HRH and 5P0HRH from Denmark and
OX50HRH and OX5HRH from Greenland will be celebrating the 50th
birthday of the Danish Crown Prince Frederik. QRV on May 26 on HF
(CW, SSB, RTTY, other digital modes). An award will be available as

John/W2GD will be participating in the WPX contest as P44W on all

XE, Mexico:
Members of the Radioclub Cancun will be active in the context of
the Rally Maya Mexico 2018 between May 23 and June 1 with the
callsign 6E5RM. QRV on 80-6m on SSB, RTTY, FT8, and via satellites.
On May 23 and 24 they are also operating as 6E5RM/XF3 from Cozumel
Island (NA-090). QSL via XE3N.

Just like in previous years, the Swiss DX Foundation will be
handing out QSL cards for QSOs with 4U1ITU, 4U1WRC, and 4U1UN to
visitors of this year's Ham Radio event in Friedrichshafen.

EU-045; I*0, Lazio Region group: A group of Italian amateurs

and Carlo/IZ4WJA) activates Ponza Island (IIA R001, WLOTA 1395,
WAIP LT-001) between the 23rd and 28th. They will be signing

EU-173, OH1, Lansi-Suomi (Pori) Province group & EU-096, OH1,
Lansi-Suomi (Turku) Province group: Ric/DL2VFR, Klaus/DL2YBG, and

their itinerary and will now be visiting Parainen-Pargas (EU-096)
