Gabor/HA3JB operates as 8Q7IP between Sept. 19 and 30 from the
Maldives (AS-013). QRV on 80-6m on CW, SSB, RTTY (also during the
CQ WW DX RTTY Contest), and FT8. QSL via HA3JB.
Shinji/JF2SDR operates holiday-style as 8Q7SD between the 20th and
25th from Halaveli Island on 30-10m (CW, SSB, RTTY). QSL via
Fred/DL5YM and Tina/DL5YL are returning to Liechtenstein once more.
QRV signing HB0/homecalls between Sept. 20 and Oct. 6 on HF (CW,

Liechtenstein between Sept. 24 and 28. The team consists of

Tyrol hosts the UCI Road World Championships (Cycling) between
Sept. 22 and 30. To mark this occasion, Austrian amateurs may
substitute OE18 for their usual prefix, e.g. OE18VIE, OE18SGU,
OE18EGN... between Sept. 21 and Oct. 1. An award will be available

Quite unexpectedly, Rene/DL2JRM, Dietmar/DL3DXX, Tom/DL5LYM, and
Dan/DL5SE got on the air as OJ0DX from Market Reef. Operating since
Sept. 13 and staying at least until the 18th (depending on weather
conditions), their main focus was the SAC CW Contest. QSL via

Steve/G4EDG plans to operate as ZD9CW from Tristan da Cunha
(AF-029) between Sept. 20 and Oct. 22. QRV on 40-15m (CW, RTTY,

Mustapha Landoulsi/DL1BDF - Silent Key:
Mustapha Landoulsi, DL1BDF, passed away on Sept. 10, aged 75. He
had been a DARC member for 43 years, many of them as chairman of
the local club in Norden (DOK I09) and the club of the Radio Museum
Norddeich Radio. Born in Tunesia, the professional pilot was very
active in efforts building friendship and understanding between
Germans and Arabs. Since 1996 he coordinated the liaison work
between DARC and amateur clubs in Arabic countries.
Sabit Zymneri/Z61AA - Silent Key:
Kosovo's oldest radio amateur, Sabit/Z61AA, died on Sept. 9. He was
very active on the bands from his home country before and after its
declaration of independence. (Emir/9A6AA)
ZD9, Tristan da Cunha and Gough Island:
During the EI DX Feile, Declan/EI6FR announced a DXpedition to
Tristan da Cunha for September 2019. He plans to operate as ZD9EI
together with James/9V1YC and Pat/EI5IX. More information to
P2, Papua New Guinea:
Derek/SM6CVX and Eddy/K5WQG are planning an activation of two
islands between January 31 and February 11. First Manus Island
(OC-025) until Feb. 5 as P29VCX, then Daru Island (OC-153) until
Feb. 11 as P29NI. QSL for P29VCX via SM6CVX, P29NI via G3KHZ.
