5X, Uganda:
Shabu/M0KRI will be back on the air as 5X1RI between the end of
July and mid-August. QSL via M0KRI (d/B).
DL, Germany:
The German section of the International Police Association (IPA)
celebrate the 70th anniversary of their organisation with the
special event callsign DL70IPA. Operators plan to work each sunday
(08z-10z on 7080kHz) and Thursday (18z-19z on 3680) during August
and September; 20m depending on condx. QSL via bureau.
F, France:
Members of the British Breakout from Normandy Museum will be active
as TM11AD between July 31 and Aug. 3 on HF (CW, SSB, digital modes)
to commemorate the liberation of the area by the British 11th
Armoured Division. QSL via F4KKE (d/B), LotW, ClubLog OQRS.
G, England:
The Denby Dale Amateur Radio Society (DDARS) celebrates Yorkshire
Day on the 1st of August with the callsigns GB2YD, GB4YD, GB5YD,
GB6YD, GB8YD, GB8YDS, and GB9YDS on HF (CW, SSB, digital modes).
The Pontefract & District Amateur Radio Society joins the
celebrations with the callsign GB0YD, and GB0YDS will be run by the

G, England:
GB75PEACE, GB1945PE, and GB1945PJ will be back on the air during
August to mark the end of World War II in the Pacific. QSL via

The special event stations GB80CH (Chelmsford, Essex) and GB80BRS
(Bawdsey Radar Station, Suffolk) draw attention to the decisive
role of radar developments during the Battle of Britain. QRV during

I, Italy:
The ARI Fidenza Club (IQ4FE) puts a number of special event
callsigns on the air during 2020 to commemorate the life and
achievements of Guglielmo Marconi. During August, II4CLT celebrates
the beginning of operations at the transmitting station in Coltano
(1911). An award will be available as well. QSL via IQ4FE.

LZ, Bulgaria: The Bulgarian Radio Club Blagovestnik (LZ1KCP)
continues to honour the memory of Orthodox saints during August
with the callsign LZ662MI. QSOs count towards the All Saints - 2020

PA, Netherlands:
PI75VERON celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Dutch national
club Vereniging voor Experimenteel Radio Onderzoek in Nederland

Jose/VU2JOS has put up new information about Covid-19 special event
stations AT2HLX (OP VU3HLX), AT2HLZ (OP VU3HLZ), and AT2HQI on his

4A2MAX honours the memory of Maximilian Kolbe during August on SSB,

The organisers of the International Lighthouse and Lightship
Weekend wish to stress that their 2020 event (Aug. 22/23) is not

Hans-Martin/DK2HM had to cancel his plans for operating from Rapa
Nui Island (SA-001) as XR0YHM during August/september due to flight
cancellations.
