4L, Georgia:
Peter/HB9DVG (also G4ENL; previously also 9X9PJ) is now working at
a hydropower plant in Georgia. During his spare time he will be
active as 4L/G4ENL on HF (CW, SSB, FT8). The duration of his stay

9M2, West Malaysia & 9M6, East Malaysia:
The following special event stations celebrate Malaysia's
independence (31 August 1957) on Aug. 30 and 31: from West

Members of the Radio Club Traiguen (CE6TRA) commemorate the arrival
of the first railroad in Traiguen 131 years ago with the following
callsigns:

Members of the Royal Air Force Amateur Radio Society (RAFARS)
commemorate the Battle of Britain with the callsign GB800BOB from

GB5ST, celebrating the TV series Star Trek and various spin-offs,
begins its mission on Sept. 1. QSL via bureau and eQSL.
HK, Colombia:
Lothar/DK8LRF extends his stay in Colombia yet another time and
will remain active as HK3JCL until the end of December.
I, Italy:
The ARI Fidenza Club (IQ4FE) puts a number of special event
callsigns on the air during 2020 to commemorate the life and
achievements of Guglielmo Marconi. During September, II4PIN refers
to Marconi's first filing of a patent in 1896. An award will be

K, United States of America:
The special event station K5R commemorates the devastating
hurricanes Katrina and Rita 15 years ago. QRV from the 28th to 30th

LZ, Bulgaria:
The Bulgarian Radio Club Blagovestnik (LZ1KCP) continues to honour
the memory of Orthodox saints during September with the callsign
LZ595IP. QSOs count towards the All Saints - 2020 award. QSL via

RA, Russia:
R140PASG, celebrating the 140th anniversary of the writer Alexander
Grin, remains active until the end of August. QSL via RW4NW.
SV, Greece:
During September, Pol/SV1AHH and George/SV1GGF operate the special
event station SX1AFM, marking the 70th anniversary of the Hellenic
Air Force History Museum. QRV on 80 to 6m on all modes. They also

TF, Iceland:
Norbert/DJ7JC pays Iceland (EU-021) a visit from Aug. 21 until Oct.
18 and operate holiday-style as TF/DJ7JC on 160-10m (CW, FT8,

During September, Herbie/G6XOU will be operating as MX1SWL/a (WAB

Leszek Fabjanski/SP3DOI - sk:
The well-known DXer, DXpeditioneer, and contester Leszek/SP3DOI
died tragically in a plane crash on 15 August. Among others he was
a team member of VU7RG, 9U0A, VP6DX, E44M, A35YZ, H44G, H40T, T31T.
9J2BS - QSL Manager:
Pedro/EA5GL is now acting as QSL manager for Jerry/9J2BS.
QSL-Manager IK2DUW:
Antonello/IK2DUW has taken over QSL manager dutied from
Gabriele/IK3GES, who passed away earlier this year. Among the
callsigns managed are 5H1ES, E44YL, 6W/IV3FSG, 9Q0HQ, XT2SE, TL8ES,
TT8ES and others. Antonello asks everyone to pay attention to the
information regarding QSL traffic on his website, since he is no

W/VE Island QSO Party:
A W/VE Island QSO Party will be held on Aug. 29/30 to promote the
US American (USi) and Canadian (CISA) island awards. For more

Yosuke/JJ1DQR had to cancel his operation as 8Q7PR, which was
planned for Sept. 4 to 8.

WWFF activity by DF1AG & DJ1AM:
Ruediger/DF1AG and Ewald/DJ1AM will be on a WWFF tour through
Poland between Aug. 26 and Aug. 31. They plan to activate several
Polish WWFF references as SP/homecall, "mobile" or "portable",
mostly on 20m or 40m SSB. They will travel to Lublin and return
