DL7UXG S.K. - by Ric, DL2VFR
It is my difficult and sad duty to inform the DX community of the
death of my friend Klaus-Dieter Poels, DL7UXG, who passed away
recently. Klaus was the editor of our DXNL. He began in the hobby
in 1970 as a SWL and received his first callsign DM4XIG in 1974.
Later he signed as Y51SL, Y28XL, and finally as DL7UXG. Since
2011 he had contributed to the IOTA News section in our newsletter
and took over as editor in 2014. During his tenure, Klaus put
together almost 400 editions. He was an active DXpeditioner
activating IOTA and WWFF references in DL, SM, OZ, LA, OH, and
TF. New plans for 2022 were already in the making. Rest in peace!
