5Z, Kenya:
Martin/5Z4PA will be QRV from Mombasa on April 16/17 for the CQMM
DX Contest. QSL via M0URX
EA9, Ceuta & Melilla:
Miguel/EA9ACE will be participating from Ceuta in the CQMM DX
Contest on the weekend of April 16/17. QSL information on his

F, France:
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the F8KFZ radio club, the
special callsign TM20KFZ will be active on the HF bands in all
modes. QSL via F4FCE (d/B) or LoTW.
J2, Djibouti:
Matt/KN9U and Paul/N7JDI are QRV in their spare time from the US
Navy Base in Lemonnier as J20MR and J28JD. Both operate in SSB and
DIGI on 40-10m. QSL J20MR via EA5GL, J28JD will be announced later.
JA, Japan:
To mark the 50th anniversary of the return of the Okinawa
archipelago to Japan after 27 years of U.S. occupation (Jan. 15,
1972), station 8N650JP will be on the air from April 1 to Sept. 30;
connections will be automatically confirmed via the bureau.
K, USA:
Special station W4M (Whiskey 4 Moonshine) will be QRV from April 16
to April 30 on the following frequencies: 7.215, 14.250, 18.135,
50.125MHz. QSL via AA4SS (d) or LoTW.
OA, Peru:
Tony/OA4DX will be QRV on Peru for the CQMM DX Contest (April
16/17). QSL via OA4DX
OZ, Denmark:
On the occasion of World Amateur Radio Day, April 18, station
5P0WARD and other 5P0WARD/xx stations will be in operation. There's
an award for contacts with these stations - rules can be found at
https://www.qrz.com/db/5p0ward.
PZ, Suriname:
Rico/PZ5JW will be handing out points in the CQMM DX Contest on
April 16/17 on 10m to 40m, possibly 80m as well. QSL via LoTW or
EA5GL
SP, Poland:
The special callsign 3Z80AK will be activated between April 1 and
May 31 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the
Armia Krajowa (Home Army, the dominant underground resistance
movement in Poland during World War II). QSL via SP1PBW.
TL, Central African Republic:
DXpedition TL8AA of the Italian DX team, led by Silvano I2YSB,
originally scheduled for March/April (DX-MB 2295), has been
postponed until November.
V5, Namibia:
Mike/V51MA plans to hand out some points for the CQMM DX Contest
from Windhoek. QSL via LoTW or direct.

Members of the Radio Club Henares will be active as EH4WRD from
April 8-24 to celebrate World Amateur Radio Day. Check their

To commemorate World Amateur Radio Day, created in Paris on April
18, 1925 (founding of the IARU International Amateur Radio Union),
the REF will use the special call sign TM97WARD from April 16-25.
LY, Lithuania:
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Lithuanian basketball,
LY2BMX/Algis, LY2HQ/Andrejus, LY2PX/Vilius, LY2J/Pranas,
LY2MM/Albinas, LY4TB/Tomas, LY2QT/Valerijus, LY5O/Bronius,
LY3AB/Andrius, LY4Q/Rolandas, and LY8O/Remigijus will activate the
special station LY100BBALL during the month of April.
PA, Netherland:
For the 2022 Invictus Games The Hague, special station PH2022IG
will be activated from April 15-22. QSL via PA3EFR
VE, Canada:
On the occasion of World Amateur Radio Day, on April 18, the
following Canadian special stations will be active on the bands:
VA2RAC, VA3RAC, VE1RAC, VE4RAC, VE5RAC, VE6RAC, VE7RAC, VE8RAC,
VE9RAC, VO1RAC, VO2RAC, VY0RAC, VY1RAC and VY2RAC. QSL via VE

VE, Canada:
Celebrating its centennial, the Kitchener-Waterloo Amateur Radio
Club (VE3IC, https://www.kwarc.org/) uses three special call signs:
VC3C for the Ontario QSO Party (April 16-17), VC3IC for the RAC
Canada Day Contest (July 1-2) and VB3C for the ARRL Field Day
Contest (June 25-26).
VP8, Falkland Island:
To mark the 40th anniversary of the 74-day Falklands War between
England and Argentina, radio amateurs on the Falkland Islands can
use their callsigns with /40 from April 2 to June 14.
YB, Indonesia:
On the occasion of World Amateur Radio Day (April 18), the special
callsign 8D97WARD will be activated April 16 to 18. OPs will
operate in CW / SSB / RTTY / FT8 on the 80m-10m bands (no WARC
bands) and on satellite IO-86 (435.88 MHz). QSL via LoTW, eQSL and
ClubLog.

AN-016; Various, Antarctica: Claudio/LU3CDK is a member of the crew
of the icebreaker "ALIMIRANTE IRIZAR", which is en route to
Antarctica. During the trip Claudio will be QRV on the icebreaker
under the callsign LU2AIB. Approximately between April 15 and 18 he
will make a stopover at the Antarctic base General San Martin on
Barry Island. If his professional duties permit, Claudio will be
QRV on the station under the callsign LU1ZD. QSL to LU4DXU.
AS-013; 8Q, Maldives: Braco/E77DX/OE1EMS will be on the air with
the callsign 8Q7DX from April 13-27 from Baa Atoll in the Maldives
from 80m to 10m, possibly 160m. Braco has an ICOM IC-705 and a Juma
1000 with 1kW in his luggage and plans to set up a vertical antenna

EU-026; JW, Spitsbergen Island: Max/ON5UR/A52UR, Pascal/ON5RA,
Marc/ON4MA, Jelmer/DJ5MO, Willy/ON2BDJ, Cedric/ON4CKM,
Patrick/ON4DCU, Marc/ON8AK, Andre/ON4DTO, Carlo/ON4BR, Erik/ON4EC,
Marc/ON6CC, Franky/ON7RU, and Francis/ON8AZ will be operating as
JW0X and JW1000QO from Spitsbergen from April 19 - 26 on 160 to 6 m
in CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8 with five stations from three locations
from Longyearbyen on Svalbard. They plan to make the 1st QSO from
Svalbard in SSB via QO-100 between April 22 and 24. QSL via M0URX.

EU-085; R1P, Kolguev Island: Mikhail/UA1QV and Misha/RW3FS plan to
be QRV from Kolguev Island in the Barents Sea from April 14-21 as
RI1PA.
EU-089; CU8/9, Western group: Starting April 13 through April 19,
Tony/CU8AS will be heard under the special callsign CQ84AS from
Flores Island in the Azores mainly in CW on the shortwave bands. to
celebrate his 84th birthday. QSL via HB9CRV
NA-021; 8P, Barbados: In the CQMM DX Contest Charles/8P6ET will be
using his contest callsign 8P1W and hopes to make many contacts.

Dominica April 19-24 and plans to be QRV on HF as J79MN. QSL via

NA-107; FM, Martinique: Michael/DF8AN will be QRV on HF in CW and
digital modes on his Caribbean trip April 13-19 and again May 1-2
as FM/DF8AN from Martinique. In the CQMM DX Contest he will try to

OC-005; VK9, Norfolk Island: Chris/VK3QB, Luke/VK3HJ and Alan/VK6CQ
will be active from Norfolk Island April 14-15 on the bands from
160m to 6m in CW and some SSB/FT8 under the call VK9NT. QSL via

OC-028; V7, RALIK CHAIN: Stewie/WV7MS is a newly licensed amateur
who will be employed as a firefighter on Kwajalein Atoll in the
Marshall Islands "for the foreseeable future." He is QRV as

OC-144; FO/A, Australes: Rob/N7QT, Walt/N6XG, Heye/DJ9RR,
Gene/K5GS, Steve/W1SRD, Melanie/N7BX and Doris/K0BEE plan to be on
the air from April 16-28 from Raivavae Island as TX5N from 160m to
10m in CW, SSB and digital modes. The team will meet in Papeete on
April 12 to fly to Raivavae on April 15. QSL via M0URX

3Y/B BOUVET IS:
In a recent report earlier this week, Ken LA7GIA states that they
still need $120,000 to go to Bouvet. Since August 2021, they have
received monetary donations from about 1,000 individual donors.
In June, they need to pay a second installment as a deposit for
the ship. By then, all purchases will be completed, equipment
tested, and they will begin loading a container that will depart
from Oslo in September.
By June they will decide from which port in South America they will
sail to Bouvet. Those who donate more than 200 USD will receive a
T-shirt as a gift. The latest operator to join the team is lowband
expert Peter N0FW.
Info of past IOTA activities:
3D2USU: Dominik 3Z9DX has announced that he will be sending out paper
QSLs after he returns home, while regularly uploading his log to
LoTW. In the meantime, he is planning another DX expedition to
Rotuma Island under the callsign 3D2RRR (no date yet).
TO1Q: Jean-Luc F1ULQ ended his operation from Guadeloupe as TO1Q on
April 8, making more than 11,500 QSOs during his stay.

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of SOTA (Summits On The Air)
France, the special callsign TM15SOTA will be activated on fifteen
