DX Activities
=============
5U, NIGER:
Giorgio, IU5HWS, is currently active as 5UA99WS, mostly on 15m
(SSB). QRV until Dec. 20. QSL direct via EA5GL, OQRS, LoTW.
C5, GAMBIA:
Andre/ON7YK operates as C5YK during his spare time until Feb. 24
next year, mostly on 12 and 10m, later also on 20, 17, and 15m (CW,
digital modes). QSL direct via ON7YK, LoTW.
EA, SPAIN:
The special event station EE44C celebrates the 44th anniversary of
Spain's present constitution until Dec. 18. QSL direct via EC5WR,
LoTW, eQSL.
EA, SPAIN:
EH5FPM operates around the Patron Saint Festivities of Mazarron
until Dec. 11. QSL via EA5JDN (B), eQSL, LoTW.
EA9, CEUTA & MELILLA:
Yuris/YL2GM signs EA9/YL7A or EA9/YL2GM from Ceuta between the 8th
and 12th on HF (CW, SSB, FT8). QSL via homecall.
G, ENGLAND:
The RSGB holds their Transatlantic Centenary Tests throughout
December, commemorating the tests towards the first transatlantic
contact on HF, which were conducted from 1921 to 1923. Special
callsigns that were used back then have been reissued for this
event:
* G5WS, used in 1922
* G5AT, used in 1923
* G6XX, used in 1923
* G6ZZ, used in 1924 for first tests from a moving train
* G3DR, used from the Scottish Highlands - GM3DR.
These may also be used from other parts of the country, e.g. GM5WS
(Scotland), GW5WS (Wales), GU5WS (Guernsey), GD5WS (Isle of Man),
GJ5WS (Jersey) and GI5WS (Northern Ireland).
M0OXO handles all QSL requests. Logs will be uploaded to LoTW and
ClubLog.
OH, FINLAND:
The Market Reef DX Association OH9A operates with the callsign
OH1XMAS until Dec. 26 on all bands and modes. QSL via ClubLog OQRS
or via direct.
XW, LAOS:
Vincent/XW4KV plans to activate 12 locator grids via QO-100 between
Dec. 2 and 23. HF operation is expected as well from Dec. 13 to 18.

VP8, ANTARCTICA:
Seba/SQ1SGB reached the base Halley VI on Dec. 1 and operates as
VP8/SQ1SGB/p during his spare time until Feb. 1 next year. QRV on

XT, BURKINA FASO:
Harald/DF2WO has returned to Ouagadougou and operates as XT2AW

ZA, ALBANIA:
Burkhard/DL3KZA is currently active as ZA/DL3KZA until Dec. 13 on
40-17m, mostly on FT8. QSL via homecall (d/B).
ZB2, GIBRALTAR:
Yuris/YL2GM will be active as ZB2/YL7A from Dec. 6 to 8 on 6m
(FT8). QSL via YL2GM.
DX News

TN, CONGO:
The TN8K team (trip scheduled for January 7 to 20) informs that
they will have to run all their operating off-grid with generators,
incurring substantial cost, which is why they hope for donations
from the DX community.

AS-013; 8Q, MALDIVE ISLANDS: 8Q7CA (Elena) operates from
Nalaguraidhoo Island between the 13th and 22nd on 80-10m (CW, SSB,
FT8). QSL via ClubLog OQRS, RC5A (d/B).
AS-140; S2, KHULNA / BARISAL REGION group: A team consisting of
Manju/S21AM, Rabby/S21RC, Dipu/S21D, Omi/S21OM, Shafin/S21TG,
Zubayer/S21BK, Mohsinuzzaman/S21MK, and Abir/S21IT will be
activating Dhal Char Island from Dec. 10 to 16 with the callsign
S21DX. They plan to set up 3 rigs for HF (SSB, FT8) and one for

NA-097; 6Y, JAMAICA: Lester/W8YCM operates as 6Y8LV and 6Y/W8YCM
until Jan. 11. QSL only direct to his address in the US.
OC-007; VK9W, WILLIS ISLANDS: Sands/VK4WXW (VU2WXW) has been
working on Willis Island since October as part of a meteorologic
team staying for 6 months. He stays until April 2023 and operates
as VK9WX, mostly on 20m (SSB).
SA-055; LU, BUENOS AIRES: (DELTA DEL PARANA) PROVINCE group:
Capi/LU1CAP activates Isla Martin Gracia from the 8th to 11th as
LP1A/E on 80-10m (SSB, FT8). QSL via EA7FTR (d/B), LoTW.

CY0S, SABLE ISLAND: NEWS UPDATE
The CY0S expedition, scheduled for March 2023, has been
pre-approved for DXCC credit. The team is still facing a price
increase for their flightand would like to remind the DX community
that every donation made to them will be matched with the same
additional amount by an anonymous donor. For more information see:

FT/W, CROZET ISLAND:
Thierry, F6CUK, has received permission to land on the island and
will depart Reunion on Dec. 8. The vessel will first stop at
Tromelin and is expected at Crozet around Christman. Thierry stays
on the island until March 26, bringing 2 transceivers and a 500W
amplifier. He has also received his callsign already, yet will not
make it public before to prevent pirate abuse.
3Y0J DXpedition Bouvet (scheduled for January 2023):
Ken/LA7GIA has outlined the latest developments, including: a
remaining financial gap of $35000 and ongoing training courses in

The Stafford Amateur Radio Association commemorates the 160th
Anniversary of the Civil War battle of Fredericksburg from this

VE-5084, South March Highlands Conservation Forest Natural Area:
Thomas/VA2EPR activates this area on Dec. 10. QSL via bureau or

ON-0521, VIROIN-HERMETON FOTA National Park:
