DX Activities
=============
5H, TANSANIA:
JP (Jeyaprakash), VU2BGC, is active from time to time as 5H5PJ,
mostly on 20m (CW) from Iringa. The duration of his stay is
unknown. QSO confirmations via eQSL, LoTW.
9K, KUWAIT; A6, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES; A9, BAHRAIN; HZ, SAUDI ARABIA:
Bahrain's National Day will be celebrated by the following special
event callsigns until Dec. 16: A91ND (QSL via EC6DX), HZ1BHR (via
HZ1SAR), 9K9BHR, A60BHR (via EA7FTR).
ANTARCTICA:
Sarab/VU2CUW is on his way to the Indian Maitri Base, which he is
due to reach mid-December. That base is also known as Friendship
Research Centre on Queen Maud Land (AN-016). He will remain there
for one year and operate as AT42I during his spare time.
EX, KYRGYZSTAN:
Bob/DU7ET (WT3A) has returned to Bishkek from where he operates as
EX0ET on 30-10m (CW). QSL via DU7ET (d).
OE, AUSTRIA:
The special event callsign OE40XTU marks the 40th anniversary of
the ham radio club at Vienna's Technical University from January to
June 2023.
SP, POLAND:
The following special event stations celebrate the 65th anniversary
of the Lublin Department of the Polish Amateur Radio Union:
SP65PLU, SN65PLU, SQ65PLU, SP8PAI, SP8PLU, and SP8TK. QSL via
bureau or direct.
SP POLAND:
3Z30PAR marks the 30th anniversary of the first QSO on the "magic
band" 6m from Poland. It was conducted between 3Z4PAR (operated by
Chris/SP4TTK, now SP4K) and Dan/IK1EGC. QSL via SP4KM (d/B), LoTW.
TI, COSTA RICA:
After paying Gerard, HR5/F2JD, a visit, Jan/F4AHV has now moved on
with his camper van to Nicaragua and Costa Rica, from where he will
sign TI8/F4AHV in mid-December. Watch out for him then mid-January
as HK3/F4AHV. QRV on 20, 17, and 15m. While on the way, he is
running an APRS beacon: http://aprs.fi/6W7RV-10 (10.470.30 Robust
Packet Network, SCS modem) or http://aprs.fi/F4AHV-9.

** Pirate **
Recent operations of 3A/IK4FXX were allegedly by a pirate.
VP8, South Georgia and South-Sandwich Is.: The government of South
Georgia has declared the whole region of South Georgia and South
Sandwich as Protected Areas, which severely changes the chances for
visits to these islands, and consequently, also for DXpeditions.

SA-002; VP8, FALKLAND ISLANDS: Jonathan/2E0KZN, currently active as
VP8TAA from the club station VP8RAF, is extending his stay until
January. QRV on 40-10m, mostly on SSB; CW is also possible but only
at slow speed. QSL via M0OXO (OQRS).
SA-036; P4, ARUBA: Heli/DD0VR and Bigi/DE3BWR pay Aruba a visit
from Dec. 16 to 23. QRV as P4/DD0VR with a QRP rig on SSB and CW.

Following his stay in Burkina Faso (XT2AW), Harald/DF2WO will be

3Y0J BOUVET ISLAND:
In his most recent update, Ken (LA7GIA) informs about the team's
plans regarding the logistics of landing on the island and setting
up their camp.
