IOTA News from OPDX

Island activities:
AF-004. Mike, DG5LAC, will once again be active as EA8/DG5LAC from Fuerteventura Island (DIE S-006, WLOTA 0883, EAFF-191, WWFF EAFF-0063 Parque Natural Corralejo) between April 14-28th.
Activity will be on 40-10 meters using SSB, FT8 HP and Rare (CW activation only until now!). QSL via his home callsign, direct, by the Bureau, LoTW, eQSL or ClubLog's OQRS.
EU-042. Mike, DG5LAC, will once again be active as DG5LAC/P from Hooge
Island (WWFF DLFF-013 Wadden Sea) during the RSGB IOTA Contest
(July 28-29th) as a Single-Op/Mode-SSB/12-Hrs/DXpedition/High-Power entry. QSL via DG5LAC, direct, by the Bureau, ClubLog's OQRS, LoTW, eQSL or ClubLog's OQRS.
EU-045. Operators Alessandro/IK4ALM, Augusto/IK4RQJ, Roberto/IK4JPN,
Vanni/IK4RUX and Carlo/IZ4WJA will be active as IB0/homecall from Ponza Island (Pontine Archipelago, IIA R001, WLOTA 1395, WAIP LT-001) between May 23-28th. The ARI team from Modena and Carpi will be will be active on various HF bands (WARC included), 6 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital modes. QSL via their home callsigns (direct or through the ARI Bureau).
EU-065. Operators Christophe/F4ELI, Stephane/F5UOW and Andre/F4ELK
will visit possibly three different islands in the Bretagne (Finistere North West) IOTA Group during June:
Trielen Island (DIFM AT040) -- Wednesday, June 22nd, afternoon
Bannec Island (DIFM AT037) -- Saturday, June 23rd, morning
Molene Island (DIFM AT002) -- possibly Saturday afternoon
They have requested the TM65EU callsign.
EU-090. Operators Marijan/9A1MB, Radovan/9A2SC, Zeljko/9A3DF, Branko/
9A3ST, Kristijan/9A4WY, Vitomir/9A5VS, Neven/9A5YY and Emir/9A6AA
will be active as 9A90P from Vela Palagruza (CI-084, LH 0057) between June 16-23rd. Activity will be on 80-6 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital modes. QSL via 9A2MF. ADDED NOTE: Some members will also try to operate under their home callsign from neighboring islands: Mala Palagruza (EU-090, CI-461) and Galijula island (EU-090, CI-462, 3NM southeast of Palagruža).
EU-120. Operators Darran/G0BWB, G0BFJ, Barry/G4TML, DM/G4RCX, Richard/M0RBG and David/M0RIU will be active as G6LD from Lindisfarne
(Holy Island) during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 28-29th) as a Multi-Op/Island-DXpedition entry. QSL via G0BWB.
EU-120. Stevie, MM0VPY/M0VPY, will be active as M0VPY from Lindisfarne
(Holy Island) during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 28-29th) as a Single-Op/Island-DXpedition/12-Hrs/High-Power entry. QSL via MM0VPY.
EU-123. Gordon, MM0GOR, will once again be active as MM1E from Great
Cumbrae Island during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 28-29th) as a Single-Op/All-Bands/SSB-Mode/DXpedition entry. QSL via MM1E, by the Bureau, ClubLog's OQRS or LoTW.
EU-137. Lars, SM6CUK, will once again be active as SA6G/7 from Ven
Island between June 5-12th. Activity will be holiday style on 40-6 meters using mostly CW on, or near, the usual IOTA frequencies. QSL via SM6CUK, by the Bureau, direct, ClubLog or LoTW. NO eQSL.
EU-174. Laci, HA0HW, will once again be active from Thassos Island
(GIOTA NAS-037, MIA MG-124, WLOTA LH-4186, QRA KN20HS), as
SW8WW (ex-J48HW) between May 24th and June 5th. He will operate
mainly CW, with some SSB and RTTY on the HF bands (usually on
40/30/20/17/12/10 meters) and on 6 meters. He may enter the CQWW WPX CW Contest (May 26-27th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry. His rigs are usually a FT-840 and an IC-706 (for 6m only). Antennas are a monoband Gps on SPIDERPOLE and fishing poles, and a multiband doublet over his apartment house, for 6 meters a folded dipole <http://www.qsl.net/g3pto/6m_dipole.html> as a vertical dipole on a stand alone fishing pole. OC-160. (Update) Tim, NL8F, was expected to be active as VK4COF from
Hamilton Island starting between April 3rd, but he told OPDX on Thursday, March 5th, "Has been a bit of trouble with Cyclone Iris here; been waiting the last 3 days for tickets that have been canceled, but now have them for the morning with a note saying may again be rescheduled, so hoping I make it out there tomorrow to Hamilton Island." Received another message on Saturday from Tim, and he reported that he is on the air as of April 6th, 2300z. He stated that he was on 17m, then went to 15m not hearing much and went on 40 and 80 meters before taking a nap. Remember, activity will be mainly SSB and FT8. QSL via NL8F.
OC-236/OC-242. Operators Hendro/YB3LZ, Bimbo/YB3MM and Tety/YB3TET will be active as homecall/8 from Tinabo Island (OC-242) between April
28th and May 1st, and from Selayar Island (OC-236) between May 1-2nd. QSL via IZ8CCW, ClubLog or LoTW.
