<http://www.bouvetdx.org>, March 27th: Franz, DJ9ZB, will be unable to
join us in the Bouvet DXpedition. We enjoyed working with Franz on Malpelo

joining our team. Pista is well know for his previous DXpeditions, inno-
vative talents, humanitarian projects, problem solving abilities, and
operating skills. It is a pleasure to have him with us on the Bouvet
Island DXpedition.

4U1UN REACTIVATION COTINUES. It was reported this past week on QRZNOW.com:
United Nations Headquarters Amateur Radio club station 4U1UN (*) repre-
sentatives are still in talks with the UN Department of Public Information
with an eye toward permanently reactivating the station. Although within
the geographical confines of New York City, 4U1UN qualifies as a separate
DXCC entity.
Hopefully well have an opportunity to plead our case to the new admin-
istration as well. Keep your fingers crossed, said a post this week on
the club's Facebook page (**). 4U1UN might be back on the air soon!
Earlier in March, the club alerted its Facebook page visitors to reports
that a pirate identifying as 4U1UN was operating on RTTY. The station was
on the air for real in 2015. To commemorate the UNs 70th anniversary that
fall, 4U1UN operated as 4U70UN from a station set up at a ground-level
garden area within the UN Headquarters complex.

Heard Island Drops to #25 on the Clublog Most Wanted List!
When I asked an NCDXF Board Member what he thought the biggest measure
of success was for a DXpedition, he said "A significant achievement is
for a DXpedition to work Uniques in the 20 something percentile range".
I am also very glad to see that the drop in the position on the Most
Wanted List curated by Clublog, (the de-facto standard) is now 25,
which is 20 positions lower than a year ago. That is something that I
hoped to see to drop to #25 or lower.

radio amateurs will now have to be content with the global secondary 15
kHz wide allocation of 5351.5 kHz to 5366.5 kHz at up to 15w effective
isotropic radiated power that was agreed to at WRC-15. For more details,

REALTIME BAND CONDITIONS WEB SITE <http://www.bandconditions.com>:
The purpose of this experimental Web site is to provide 24-7-365 actual
(REALTIME) band condition information to CW QRPp, QRPe and CW/SSB for
Contesters interested in increasing their scores. It can also be of
benefit to other Radio Amateurs to determine band conditions for Nets
and casual QSO's. This information is NOT based on any software pre-
dictions or any kind of satellite based readings. It is based on a
new Ionospheric sounding method called "HF Ionospheric Interferometry"
which operates very similarly to the PolSAR system used by NASA.
