SM, Sweden:
The longwave broadcasting station in Motala began its service 90
years ago with a 30 kW Marconi transmitter. In 1935 the power was
increased to 135 kW, making it one of the strongest radio
transmitters in Europe. The station closed down in 1962. Members of
the SK5SM club will be operating the special event call SC90SM
