REALTIME BAND CONDITIONS WEB SITE <http://www.bandconditions.com>:
The purpose of this experimental Web site is to provide 24-7-365 actual
(REALTIME) band condition information to CW QRPp, QRPe and CW/SSB for
Contesters interested in increasing their scores. It can also be of
benefit to other Radio Amateurs to determine band conditions for Nets
and casual QSO's. This information is NOT based on any software pre-
dictions or any kind of satellite based readings. It is based on a
new Ionospheric sounding method called "HF Ionospheric Interferometry"
which operates very similarly to the PolSAR system used by NASA.

Yuris, YL2GM, on their Web page: A lot of direct QSL letters don't
reach their destination and are returned to me with the reason "address
is undeliverable" or get lost in the process. I send out all direct
QSL cards once every month. If you have not received your direct QSL
card, please write email to me and I will send again <yl2gm@inbox.lv>.
Please also check that your address is correct in QRZ.com and clublog.org.
LoTW will be uploaded not later than 1st of September.

FO/K5PI via home callsign, direct (NO IRCs), by the Bureau or LoTW.
George, K5PI, was active from Punaauia and Papeete, Tahiti Island

OPDX: "Just thought I should be sending you a note about these old DX-
peditions. Believe it or not I am still receiving QSL requests for the
calls above, 29 & 28 years later. Just to let you know that I still
have the logs and some blank cards and I will be glad to answer anyone.
Dates are important: XW8DX/CW from Dec. 08, 1989 to Dec.26
                       XU8DX/CW from Apr. 03 1990 to Apr. 11
This call was occasionally activated until late 1991, I receive requests
for dates past 04/11/90 however I have no log past the end of the ex-
pedition, not even sure that the activity was legal!"

  * Yasar Gocet, TA3D, became a Silent Key on August 1st, due to an
unfortunate accident while fixing his antenna. The pole he was
climbing on broke and he had fell down. Yasar was one of Turkey's
    well-known CW operator and contester.

  * William A. (Bill) Tynan, W3XO, became a Silent Key at the age of 92.
He was one of the founding members of AMSAT, Bill served as its pre-
sident and chairman of the board, as well as the longtime vice pre-
sident for manned spaceflight. He was also a past president of the
Central States VHF Society and the longtime conductor of QST's "The
World Above 50 MHz". A Fellow of the Radio Club of America, Bill
received its Barry Goldwater Amateur Radio Award in 2012. Also read
