TT8KO DXPEDITION NEWS. Last week we told you that Ken, LA7GIA, had his
TT8KO operation shut-down by the national security police, and has since
been waiting for his equipment to be inspected. This past week, Ken was
planning to leave Chad on Thursday, October 18th. In the meantime, Ken
was also told that he was still not allowed to disassemble the equipment
until inspection was completed, everything must remain as is. Then on
Friday, Ken posted the following on FaceBook: "Finally I got this working.
No social media for 1 week. Last night I was informed that a police order
has been issued preventing me from leaving TT, even w/o equipment. Status
of my return flight has changed to "open". The Norwegian embassy and
foreign ministry are now working on the issue. I get many emails every
day from DXers around the world with kind words, it keeps the spirit up
- thanks! Hotel staff also very supportive. Still waiting."
V3, BELIZE. Victor, WB0TEV, has cancelled his V31VP operation between
October 24-31st, for the CQWW DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th). He states,
"I was advised by the station owner in Belize that the rent a shack equip-

By pointing your browser to <http://www.dxa3.org/vp6d/> DXA allows
anyone with an ordinary browser to see VP6D activity in near real time.
Within 60 seconds of your contact with VP6D, the browser page is auto-
matically updated to show your callsign, this confirms that your contact
is in the log (DXA reads the VP6D log). This process eliminates the need
for duplicate contacts on the same band / mode and minimizes the confusion
caused by pirates or other DX-peditions operating at the same time. Also,
they will upload the log every day to the VP6D.com - Log Search tab. They
will not use ClubLog and there is no Leaderboard. QSL via operators'
instructions. For more details and updates, see the following URLs:
