I worked a couple of Scottish stations on 10m at good signal strengths, +6, unusual. It is gratifying to twist the beam around and see the signals go down then up. Then I worked Namibia, V51WH.

Sun: There are two sunspots but nothing special about them.
The longest night has passed but don’t expect the mornings to get lighter (at least in the northern hemisphere) till the 5 th of January. The reason for this, in a few words is the Earth doesn’t move in perfect circle and the tilt of the Earth’s axis, which gives us the seasons, isn’t in perfect alignment with it.
Stoke drew 0 – 0 with Coventry on Saturday. Tuesday we played Notts Forest and drew yet again 1 – 1. Still we gain a point
