Not a bad weekend. Even better to come this next weekend with the CQ WW WPX SSB contest. So whip out your latest prefix and wave it round.
This week there was a fair bit of DX about. 7Z1WW (Saudi Arabia), A25RU (Botswana), FY5HB (French Guiana), VK9CE (Cocos Keeling Is), J28PJ (Djibouti) to name a few. I chased ZC4GR on 10m but only managed to work him on 15m, doh! Nice QSL card.

Sun: Just 2 sunspots, both stable and quiet.
On March 20th, the sun launched a coronal mass ejection (CME) into space: movie. It wasn't aimed directly at Earth. Nevertheless, we might feel its effect on March 23rd when the storm cloud is expected to deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field. (spaceweather.com)
A poor weekend for English teams. The cricket team failed as did the rugby team. Stoke however managed win at home to Derby 1 – 0. No more domestic footy as there is an international break
