A strange week in various ways. Thursday and Friday were best with the weekend not quite so good even though there was the ARRL Digital contest. I managed to get top spotter on the Sunday. I worked loads of south American countries. In the short time available to me I made 70 contacts. The ARRL log page spotted a dupe so only 69 count, drat!
I worked C5C eventually on Ten Metres. As for the rest of the week C5C and 3D2RRR were really dominated by the Italian WRTC stations. There are still a couple I’m looking for. Hope to get a certificate like this.
And there I was looking for more WRTCs when 9X2AW (Rwanda) popped up. Took me 45 minutes to get him but I did and on 10m.

Sun: Just 4 spots, all of these which are stable and quiet. The chance of flares today is low.
This is a very good graph from Spaceweather.com showing the sunspot cycle over the last few decades.
Footy: Yes, well, Wales get through to the World Cup. Everything else is just a warm/practice up for that e.g. UEFA League matches.
Cricket: In a low scoring and swinging First Test match England beat New Zealand at Lord’s. A good 100+ not out for Joe Root. The second Test starts Friday (why?
