Editorial Notice:
Klaus/DL7UXG apologises for last week's missing DXNL. He had
planned to edit it during his trip (together with Ric/DL2VFR)
around Swedish islands (Sept. 12-22). This plan was thwarted,
however, when his laptop died on him mid-way through the trip. Some
information have made it into this week's edition, though.
CE, Chile:
During October, the Chilean Pacific DX Group celebrates the 500th
anniversary of Magellan's navigation of the strait named after him
with the callsign XR500M. QSL via ClubLog OQRS, XQ7UP, LoTW.
DL, Germany:
The special event station DL70THW celebrates the 70th anniversary
of Germany's Federal Agency for Technical Relief until Sept. 21
next year. Operators are Anne/DM4LJ, Thomas/DF1WH, Niklas/DL7NF,
and Friedolin/DO2IK. QRV on HF, mostly on SSB. QSL via bureau.
HB0, Liechtenstein:
Eric/ON4EC, Erik/ON4ANN, and Willy/ON2BDJ, of the NBDX Team, will
operate as HB0/OP2D from Triesenburg between Sept. 27 and Oct. 2.
QSL via LoTW.
I, Italy:
The ARI Fidenza Club (IQ4FE) puts a number of special event
callsigns on the air during 2020 to commemorate the life and
achievements of Guglielmo Marconi. During October, II4LGH draws
attention to Marconi's demonstration of radio-based remote control
when he switched the lights at Sydney Town Hall from Genova in
1930. An award will be available as well. QSL via IQ4FE.

K, United States of America:
The special event stations VE3FIRE, N0F...N9F and KF2IRE will be
active between the 4th and 10th of October. An award will be

LZ, Bulgaria:
The Bulgarian Radio Club Blagovestnik (LZ1KCP) continues to honour
the memory of Orthodox saints during October with the callsign
LZ1891AO. QSOs count towards the All Saints - 2020 award. QSL via

OE, Austria:
Hannes/OE1SGU/OE3SGU celebrates his 30 years on the air with the
callsign OE1990SGU during October. QSL via OE1SGU (d/B), LoTW,
eQSL.
PJ4, Bonaire:
During October, PJ4TEN draws attention to the dissolution of the
Netherlands Antilles 10 years ago, resulting in Bonaire becoming a
separate DXCC entity. An award "Bonaire 10/10/10" is available as
well. QSL via M0URX.
SP, Poland:
The special event stations 3Z40RY, HF40RY, SN40RY, SO40RY, SP40RY,
and SQ40RY commemorate the first RTTY QSO from Poland in 1980 (with
Y23NE). QRV from October until the end of December. An award will
also be available.
SV5, Dodecanese:
Wolf/DL3DRN is currently active from Kolymbia/Rhodos (EU-001) as
SV5/DL3DRN on HF (CW, SSB, RTTY). He will stay on the island until
Oct. 14. QSL via DL3DRN (d/B), LoTW.
UR, Ukraine:
EN100LT celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Kharkiv Theater for
Children and Youth. QRV until the end of March 2021. QSL via UT5LU.
ISWL Activities:
During October, Geof/M0BAU (WAB SJ37) will be active as GX4BJC/a
and John/G8XTJ as MX1SWL/a (WAB SP80). QSL via M5DIK (d/B), eQSL.

Maurice/F5NQL - sk:
Frank/F4AJQ (president of F6KOP) regrets to inform the amateur
radio community of Maurice Charpentier's/F5NQL passing on Sept. 22.
Maurice was an avid CW operator and long-term member of F6KOP and
the ARRL.
Andre/PY0FF - sk:
Andre Sampaio/PY0FF passed away on the evening of Sept. 24
following complications after an operation. Andre picked up the
radio bug in his youth, operating first as PY7CW, then as PY0FF.
During the 80s and 90s he was particularly active in contests from
Fernando de Noronha. Subsequently he moved to the mainland and held
the callsign PP6ZZ.
